Jessica Beffa

Jessica Beffa has over a decade of experience leading successful strategic communications and public relations programs for global clients who are looking to grow their sales, increase industry thought-leadership and positively impact branding and valuation. From startups to multinationals, Jessica is a skilled intercultural communicator specializing in strategic turnarounds, new product launches, event publicity and C-suite communications.
As one of Thatcher+Co.’s founding team members, Jessica has helped to grow the company’s technology practice. From broadcasting and entertainment to telecommunications, automotive and FinTech, Jessica has expertise designing and implementing strategic communications and public relations campaigns that maximize results. Recent clients include the National Cyber Security Alliance, Imagine Communications, GENBAND and CarMD.
Prior to Thatcher+Co., Jessica was an Account Director for Coltrin & Associates in New York City, supporting a wide range of clients across the food and beverage and technology markets, including Quiznos, White & Mackay, SCO Group and S5 Wireless. She started her career as a Corporate Communications intern at The New York Times Company. Jessica received a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.

Christina Gillam

After nearly 15 years working in journalism, including 10 years at Newsweek, Christina brought significant media experience and writing, editing and content development skills to Thatcher+Co. She is responsible for strategic communications and media relations for a range of clients in technology, mobile communications, B2B, and fintech. She also helps spearhead the annual National Cyber Security Awareness Month campaign in collaboration with the Department of Homeland Security and NCSA’s many public and private partners, including Facebook, Intel, Visa, Google and the Better Business Bureau. Christina has a bachelor’s degree in English from San Diego State University.

Barbara Thatcher

As a specialist in media relations, Barbara Thatcher garners national and international results for a broad spectrum of clients from the tech world to TV broadcasting, legacy newspapers to investment banking, telecommunications and reputation management. As account lead for Reputation.com, Ms. Thatcher’s strategic capacity and creative approaches to producing exceptional content have resulted in placements across the globe in outlets such as The Economist, the Financial Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, Forbes, Inc., BBC World Radio, Al Jazeera America, Bloomberg TV, CNN, Fox Business and more. With additional background in the non-profit sector, Ms. Thatcher was instrumental in doubling the performing arts programming at world-renowned Wexner Center for the Arts, where she managed the growth from 41 shows per year to over 80 in two years. Serving thousands of audience members each year, Ms. Thatcher collaborated with hundreds of vibrant contemporary music, theater and dance companies across the world.

 

Ivanna Garcia

Before joining Thatcher+Co., Ivanna Garcia worked at advertising and public relations agencies in Arizona and at Arizona State University over the last five years. She supported clients spanning a variety of industries including telecommunications, professional services, healthcare, higher education, gaming, government and nonprofit with media relations and social media services.
In her last role as Communications & Social Media Specialist for Arizona State University’s Walton Sustainability Solutions Initiatives, she led her department’s social media strategy and assisted in securing earned media coverage across sustainability focused media.
In her current role at Thatcher+Co., Ivanna supports the agency’s diverse roster of clients.
An Arizona native, Ivanna earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Kristin Brocoff

Kristin has 25 years of experience in PR on both the agency and corporate sides of the business resulting in a broad spectrum of national, trade and local media coverage related to thought leadership, brand positioning and product launch programs. Based in Las Vegas, Kristin frequently serves as our client’s on-the-ground liaison for tradeshows such as CES, NAB and CTIA. Her client work includes BYU Law, the Local Media Consortium and multiple tech startups. Prior to joining Thatcher+Co, she served as Director of Corporate Communications for CarMD.com Corporation, for which she launched the award-winning CarMD® consumer electronics product. Her award procurement has included a CES Innovation Award, Edison Award and Fortune Small Business Award among others. Kristin’s media relations campaigns have garnered coverage from a broad spectrum of print and broadcast outlets such as Bloomberg, CNBC, CNN, IEEE Spectrum, USA Today and Wired. Her strategic trade story placement for Cypher, Corp. was instrumental in the startup’s successful sale to Cirrus Logic in April 2017. Kristin has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from San Diego State University with a minor in Speech Communication. She has also earned accreditation through the Public Relations Society of America, where she also garnered two national Silver Anvil awards.

 

Brad Thatcher

From IPOs and crisis resolutions to turnarounds and startups, Brad Thatcher has enjoyed working closely with CEOs, ambassadors, government ministers, university presidents and communications professionals in securing and managing media coverage at all levels.
Brad leads agency efforts behind education and awareness campaigns at the National Cyber Security Alliance, a public-private partnership founded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and corporate IT leaders such as Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Visa, AT&T, Verizon, Intel, Symantec and others. Brad and his team were awarded two Silver Anvil Awards from The Public Relations Society of America for their work increasing cybersecurity awareness with the National Cyber Security Alliance. PRSA’s Silver Anvil is the industry’s top award recognizing the highest standards of performance in the profession, including sound research, planning, execution and evaluation.
Brad has pioneered the creation of campaigns to spotlight successes in a range of countries facing unique media challenges and opportunities. From Turkey to Kuwait and from Japan to the Republic of Congo, Brad has organized media campaigns and investment missions across the globe to promote “Business Ambassadors” from each country, resulting in widespread positive coverage of thriving entrepreneurs. Working directly with U.S. Ambassadors, his team leverages their leadership to introduce new economic strategies and successful executives from each region to the top business media.
In addition to these unique public-private collaborations, Brad is passionate about the firm’s thriving education portfolio, which includes major universities and public media clients. He also oversees a range of successful corporate clients in media/broadcasting, telecommunications, cybersecurity/IT and automotive.
Before creating Thatcher+Co., Brad was President of Coltrin & Associates, where he led teams behind three Olympic Games, the launch of the PSP for Sony, the spinout of Palm from 3Com and major national campaigns for Ancestry.com. Other client experiences include Ericsson, Burger King, ADP, Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s.
As part of the team that won the agency-of-record contract for the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympic Winter Games, Brad gained first-hand experience from one of the great organizational and communications turnarounds. In addition to supporting Mitt Romney’s efforts behind the 2002 Salt Lake Organizing Committee, he focused on leading Olympic sponsor communications for World Wide IT Partners SchlumbergerSema in Salt Lake and Atos Origin in the Athens and Torino Olympic Games. Brad lives in Montclair, N.J., with his wife Elizabeth and their three children. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Brigham Young University and speaks Spanish.
